More from Scotland

From Castle Fraser, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, built in the 16th century.

Monograms from Scotland!

I was in Scotland recently and my friend Edmund took me around to a few castles. I found some amazing monograms and I'll try to add them as I'm able. Here's one from Castle Crathes built by the Burnetts of Leys in the 16th century in Banchory, Aberdeenshire.

The monogram is: Katherine Gordon +Alexander Burnett

Still trying to figure out if the current head of family James Comyn Amherst Cecil Burnett is any relation to the Amherst Vanderbilt Cecils at the Biltmore.
